I have visited a very cheap restaurant a couple of weeks ago on Beak Street, Soho. It is called Bistro1. I only found out that it is part of a chain afterwards. I was merely attracted by the price of their set lunch, 2 courses for 6.50 GBP and 3 courses for 7.50 GBP. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I had Mussels for starter which was average but the main Beef Bourguignon was fabulous with tender beef immersed in a richly flavoured red wine sauce and accompanied with perfect mashed potatoes. I also had a Cassata for dessert which was good. They have a very extensive menu and I am looking forward to trying them out during my future visits.

My first recommendation of a good Japanese supermarket is the Rice Wine Shop. It is on Brewer Street in Soho. The main reason for recommending this shop is their prices. The prices are much cheaper than the Arigato Supermarket which is just down the road. Here's a map to show where the Rice Wine Shop is located.
My very first post as a foodie! I have visited good and bad restaurants in London and I feel most people tend to review posh restaurants such as The Ivy or Gordon Ramsays at Claridges. What I intend to do with the blog is to share my experience of restaurants in London, no matter whether they are budget, average or expensive ones. I will also review places where you can buy good food at reasonable prices. Basically everything I will blog are food related.
